Mr. Carlitz,

I spent three years in the environmental information business, providing environmental due diligence information to various types of high-end clients for commercial real estate transcations. It was easy for these people to get the info - go to a web site, enter the address of interest, get a report emailed to them in 10 minutes, and pay the bill when it came. However, it is NOT anywhere near that easy for disadvantaged citizens, or almost any citizen for that matter, to get this same information for, say, the local leather tannery, oil refinery, or pharmaceutical plant. The EPA says that info is easy to get through the EnviroQuery web syatem. Even if the citizen had access to a computer, which many don't, I have found that the system currently available is tough to get to, difficult to understand, and even after the informaton arrives, it is impossible for the average citizen to understand the data(what does NPL mean? what is RCRIS LQG? what is NFRAP?). Not that I have the answers (that's why I am taking part in this), but the EPA needs to devise an easier to use system that has easier to read reports and data.

Thanks
