What do you mean by produced? Do you mean children, who should not be considered products? Or do you mean the knowledge and skills they have learned? Either way, standardized testing doesn't really help us know about the students in this state in any truly useful way.

However, "good, appropriate testing, with intelligent interpretation," can certainly be useful. Authentic, classroom-based assessment IS that kind of testing.
