KATHLEEN SEABOLT - BRAVO! THANK YOU FOR SO SIMPLY, CLEARLY NAMING WHAT IS NOW PROVING MOST PRECIOUS IN A CHILD'S DEVELOPMENT - THE EXPERIENCE OF PLAY. NOTE THE RECENT 'FROM NEURONS TO NEIGHBORHOODS' RESEARCH, WHICH DEMONSTRATES THAT THE EXPERIENCE OF PLAY PROVIDES, MORE THAN ANY OTHER ACTIVITY, THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYNAPSES THAT BECOME THE GROUNDS FOR THE INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT OF A CHILD TOWARD HER/HIS POTENTIAL.
