All students need adequate training by credentialed CTE (Career and Technical Education) instructors. The master plan does not reflect adequate training programs for students. The master plan currently only reflects career exploration and awareness until after 12th grade...that's too late for most students!!! CTE teachers possess the model curriculum standards, training for those standards that relate to industry sectors and business connections and advisory boards. Workforce preparation skill training needs more time and attention at grades 9-12. CTE Programs and career pathways that lead students to industry sectors and ladders of thier choice would be a more visionary and end with concrete skills and results...
