Larry, I think this idea has a LOT of merit. There's nothing like having an experienced teacher available IN your classroom. This is hard to achieve with any effectiveness when the mentor is also a classroom teacher.
It would be even more appealing, I think, if any money earned didn't count against retirement income. As I'm YEARS from retirement, I'm not sure how all that works.
