TIP: More on threads

Threads are great because they allow you to easily view a group of messages on one topic. As the number of messages in the Dialogue increases this becomes even more important as a way to move through the messages and find what you want.

Each time someone clicks on "Post a new message" it begins a new thread. If you are reading a message and click on "Reply to this message," your reply becomes part of an existing thread.

When you are viewing the list of messages, if you click on "Thread" at the top of the page, you will see all of the messages, arranged by thread, in alphabetical order. If there is one thread that interests you, there is a quicker way to find it:

TIP: When you open a message that interests you, you can see other messages in this thread immediately if you

- Click on "Thread" at the top; then you will see a list of messages in the thread.

- OR click on the arrow at left: shows previous message, if any, in the thread.

- OR click on the arrow at right: shows next message, if any, in the thread.

If you have questions on this, or on the Author, Date or Subject indexes, please let me know!
