Mr.Cheng has raised an important point: Now, more than ever, accomplished veteran teachers are stepping in to assume extended professional responsibilities as mentors, coachs, adjunct faculty, professional development providers, and more. What are some of the ways in which these key individuals can be identified, recruited, and supported in these expanding roles? Can this number be effectively increased by looking toward the pool of retired teachers?
