I'm glad to hear you say this; but why if SAT9 was an inappropriate test did it end up also being a high stakes test? its one thing to keep something til a better tool or better yet a better system is designed but to attach sanctions and rewards - has done more damage to students than those in legislature can imagine.

I suggest you look at Lake Washington school district's plan - I think we could learn from it. I use it with my students to analyze what we might want in a quality education.
