I agree that California has done agreat service in keeping tuitions low for residents and making education available at that level. I think we need to get back to some basics and help young people prepare for that education. We are failing in the elementary through high school levels in preparing our kids for higher education. I am in college now and would not be successful with basic reading, writing and math skills.
