How I heard about Network Democracy:

I heard about it through a number of colleagues with whom I am working regarding a state network.

My experience in this area:

I am currently working with the State of Michigan to develop the Michigan Information Network. The MIN is a v/v/d network (in theory) that will span the state public agencies. Regionally I have worked with a group to build a regional internet network. Also, my role as President of International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Special Interest Group - Technology Coordinators (SIGTC) has brought me to several discussion with FCC federal and state.

What I hope to learn:

While I do not know completely what "to wish for" from this seminar, I do know that I will learn a good deal more of the complexities of the Universal Fund and how the surrounding issues will effect our national, state and regional, as well as local initiatives.
