My experience in this area:

I have been involved with young people for a long time as an educator and counselor, and have a particular interest in any effort to get poor or otherwise at-risk kids literate and comfortable with computers. I have used computers in the regular classroom and have been a computer lab coordinator.

What I hope to learn:

I would like to find out the state of technological democracy, and also to get leads on how I can get technology into the school I teach at (it is a juvenile correctional facility, male and female, with residents there for six months to 2+ years.
