How I heard about Network Democracy:

I received a message from the University of Maine.

My experience in this area:

I have worked for public utility commissions for over seven years (first in Washington and now Maine), with a primary responsibility in telecommunications. We are currently in the process of implementing the Maine School and Library Network which provides at least a 56kbps connection to EVERY public school and library in Maine (over 1,100 sites).

What I hope to learn:

I need to know what other states are doing to provide network connections for their schools and how it is being paid for.
