How I heard about Network Democracy:

My brother, Terry DuBose, who works with distance education at the University of Arkansas Medical School at Little Rock sent me the first message. Then I heard from the Tenet Master Training members here in Texas. (I am a Tenet Master Trainer for my district.)

My experience in this area:

I have 26 years of education experience, 10 in the classroom and 16 in school libraries (middle School and high school). I have been a Tenet Master Trainer for 2 years and very active on various education discussion groups via the internet for at least 4 years. I attended the CoSN/FARNET meeting in Washington D.C. four years ago. I understand education issues and I know what having access to the internet can mean to rural schools that are isolated by distance.

What I hope to learn:

I want to stay abreast of the most current developments in technology/telecommunications. Because I understand the public school hierarchy, I know the problems that come into play when we try to move whole districts toward maximum integration of technology/telecommunications.
