How I heard about Network Democracy:

The BHCC library is a member of the North of Boston Library Exchange which encourages its memebers to be informed and active concerning the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

My experience in this area:

I am involved with integrating technology into the community college library environment on a hand-on day to day basis. I am currently enrolled in a masters in education program in which I focus on using technology to instruct our patrons on doing research, access various types of information from different electronic resources and working with faculty on campus who are interested in integrating the electronic library into course work for their students.

What I hope to learn:

I'm interested in being as informed as possible about funding and political issues that effect the community college library and education in general.
