- How I heard about Network Democracy:
- Listserv announcement
- My experience in this area:
- I am involved in K-12 education and also an adjunct professor
for computer literacy for teachers at Seattle Pacific University.
Therefore, I "practice what I preach" and want to help shape
the way students are taught and how they can learn to contribute
to the future in the workplace and for personal enrichment.
- What I hope to learn:
-
I want to exchange ideas with other adults and grow in my own
knowledge. I call myself a "lateral facilitator for the
vertically challenged" and, although it is a tongue-in-
cheek designation, I value students' contributions and am
more interested in their learning than in my pontificating.
I feel working on-line with others takes away many of the
personal barriers and allows our thoughts and ideas to
show through. By learning new things and helping shape a
future for our students, I feel I can help them learn how
to learn because I will be experiencing that same action.
