My experience in this area:

I have 14 years of teaching experience at the high school, college, and university levels. I have worked for the Delaware Department of Public Instruction as an Instructional Technology Associate and am currently the Chief Education Officer for the Delaware Center for Educational Technology. The Center is responsible for installing the telecommunications infrastructure (a combination of fiber, copper, and coaxial cables) to every public school classroom in the state over the next three years. Currently, every public school in the State of Delaware has a T1 line installed and operational giving every school access to the Delaware Education Network and the Internet. As the Chief Education Officer, my main responsibility is professional development.

What I hope to learn:

A greater awareness of the concerns and issues related to the Telecommunications Act of 1996, especially the Universal Service provisions.
