How I heard about Network Democracy:

COSN listserv, SREB mailing, State Ed Tech Planning mailing -- seems like everywhere!!

My experience in this area:

I have participated in state telecomm planning, state education networking meetings (Connie Stout's Austin conference), and state ed tech planning for 5 years now. I feel that I can contribute in questioning, more than in "how to". Perhaps we already know the answers, and the unfamiliar feel of Telecomm regulatory agencies is what's holding us back... I want to know!!!

What I hope to learn:

I want to better understand the Telecomm Act, and how that act can be and (maybe) is being deployed through the states to the local levels. I need to understand the state and local responsibilities and/or capabilities in the decision-making processes that are either underway already or will be starting up...
