My experience in this area:

Technology background in public schools, in preservice education at the university level, and in a membership organization for educators (current). Also, vice-chair of the National Forum for Information Literacy, a coalition of organizations from education, business, and government whose mission is to inform our constituencies about the importance of information skills (print and non- print) for success as active citizens, lifelong learners, and productive members of the workforce.

What I hope to learn:

How to mobilize ASCD's membership and affiliate organizatitions to take advantage of the provisions of the Telecommunications Act to bring emerging technologies to schools and districts, and to use those technologies effectively to transform teaching and learning.
