My experience in this area:

As an IMS director, I serve 21 school districts in E. Pa. We have an internet node at the IU and are currently connecting schools via our node through "direct connects" and dial-in.

What I hope to learn:

How the telecomm act of '96 will impact schools, how we should be advising schools to maximize their effort in getting networked, where to find $ to assist schools, participating in a discussion of issues related to telecomm. and schools Keeping up with the competition between bell and cable cos.
