How I heard about Network Democracy:

I can"t honestly remember. I think that it was from either a mailing dealing with telecommunications issues, or from an notice in a request to write to the FCC and representatives concerning discount rates for libraries.

My experience in this area:

I have been a library and library system director for over twenty years. During this time I have delt with telecommunications problems relating to data sending and receiving over a long distance and am aware of the costs and other difficulties involved in the process.

What I hope to learn:

To become more knowledgeable about current telecommunications policy and law. To be able to hopefully influence the decision making process concerning the establishment of telecommunications rates for libraries and schools. To become more aware of others views and comments on the matter.
