How I heard about Network Democracy:

Through a message from the President's office.

My experience in this area:

I am in the telecommunications area of the university. Part of my role is working with school districts to establish the Internet access through our network. The issues we face in Alaska are not typical of the lower 48. We can ill afford not be a strong voice in this issue. I also want to help ensure the subsidy of schools and libraries does not, in itself, create a "Haves and Have Nots" society.

What I hope to learn:

I would like to give other states an understanding of our issues, especially where they may have some similar issues in the most rural of areas. Perhaps we will find a solution that fits our state.
