My experience in this area:

Having worked for the last 5 years as a technology planner and coordinator, I am familiar with the needs of teachers and students for the wealth of information available.

What I hope to learn:

To help work for reasonable protections for all age groups who use the internet. The most important opportunity offered by the net is the opprotunity to teach young people how to think. While there are things available on the net that young people need to be protected from, if we are to teach them to think, they most know what is availableand what the dangers are. Also to be part of the effort to influence to governing bodies to provide funding to make this knowledge base available to all young people.
