How I heard about Network Democracy:

My experience in this area:

1) 28 years teaching high school, now retired from that position 2) 14 years as chair of catv comm. in Holden, Mass. 3) Two years member, now chair, of Telecommunications comm. 4) 2 and 1/2 years on the Internet 5) Our County is way behind in PEG access, and way behind in thinking re a Telecommunicatons Policy, and as a County which is not rich in cash resources it would appear that that Universal Service, as is the case for many other places, will be the way for us to provide services in the New Age of Communication.

What I hope to learn:

1) to become very familair with Universal Service, beyond the reports and FCC material now available 2) to determine how Pasco County can begin to plan re Universal Service as part of a Telecommunications Policy 3) to learn the specifics , if they become available, of how governmental entities will be able to organize a comprehensive plan and to plan for funding of such a plan 4) to trade information with others in similar situations 5) to develop ongoing dialog with such people for future networking
