- How I heard about Network Democracy:
- From email message from Colleagues
- My experience in this area:
- The Amateur Computerist has championed universal access
to email and a text browser since 1991. We have taken as
our model the Communications Act of 1934. We have documented
the goal of Universal Access for all Canadians by the year
2000 by reporting on the FreeNet and Community Network
Movement in Canada. We have studied and documented the history
of Cleveland FreeNet and the Access For All movement in
Europe.,Etc
- What I hope to learn:
- I feel that the position of universal free access to email
and a text browser needs to be fully thrown into the pot and defended
from the point of the economy, social necesity, and democrarcy.
I will contribute that point of view and will gain from the
exchange of opinions and arguements. This is one of the most
important current questions facing every society today. Will
to be on line be a privilege or a right?
