Since we teach in an urban school we were very interested in the comments that were made by the Council. We are in total agreement with their findings.
- "High poverty urban/central city area" is as important as concerning ourselves with high cost areas.
- We were also concerned with the aspect as to where the services would be placed, believing also that classroom access is imperative.
- Rates should be proportional to the amount that a school system is able to pay.
In conclusion, we felt that the Council of the Great City Schools made many valuable points and that they should be taken into consideration.
