ACTIVITIES:
library, 70 stations on network on a Novell;some Apples, Mac IBM. Also printers. Writing center has 9 stations. Every station has the same access because they are hooked up to the same file server. Whenever a student gets on they can use the same programs whereever they might access in the building. Each student has their own login account they also have the capability to save information on the A drive and take it with them. We have distance learning through the Internet. A student took a class on C++ and another took a class on advanced calculus, England, Pitt. We have our own web server and own home page. We have a teacher who teaches HTML and Java script. Children produced the home page and updated it. We have desktop publishing and yearbook is done with the adobe pagemaker Microsoft publisher, we are going to Windows 95 (now have Windows 3.1) Elementary stat. is taught and can be accessed. Poetry to magazines, SAT information, etc. English dept. does alot of revisions and writing. Math classes use the library stations to access the Internet to gather stock options from the New York stock options. There are graphic art classes the produce productions, tickets, posters, layouts (art teacher). Our elementary is Key pals with students in Spain.
