- ACTIVITIES:
- Two elementary building LANS are completed with computerized
library and computer lab, e-mail, on-line encyclopedia, and
card catalog. Networked classroom computers currently being deployed.
Central Administration offices share server and e-mail. Internet currently
via dial-up modems.
- BARRIERS:
- Cost of infrastructure is biggest barrier. Streching budgets
is always a challenge.
- GOALS:
- Internet connectivity over the two LANS and senior high open
computer lab by August 1997.
Trenching for WAN completed by September 1997.
Complete junior high LAN by January 1998.
Third elementary and senior high LAN completed in the next 18
to 24 months.
WAN operational when senior high renovation completed in 1999.
