ACTIVITIES:

We are in the process of installing an eithernet network each building with funding from a L-2-L grant. Ongoing professional development

BARRIERS:

Money is always a concern. So are system incompatability problems that arise when older, established PC environments are brought into a new network.

GOALS:

This year we will hook up all classrooms, library and administrative offices. This year we will be starting community outreach programs, but this last element is still under development.

A good bit of our expertise is found in our internal staff. We also make good use of the company, CATLINK DIRECT. They supply MAC test products and offer consulting services and workshops. Their customer service support is very good and we go to them first when we have a question.

Our school district is sending a three person team to the workshop. I will attend with Jeff Schmook and Karl Semikoski. We are the technical coordinators for Yough School District.
