Internet Usage- Curriculum enhancement through information access. College and Occupational Information for students. Social Studies, Language Arts, Science classes use for various course related activities.

BARRIERS:

Expense. Only one lab is available on a part-time basis for use by general student population. Technical assistance is minimal. School districts need on-going technical assistance resource on a regular basis.

GOALS:

Local network for computer lab. Additional lab availability. Libraries connected with LAN and possibly on same server as other areas. Administrative networking throughout district.

We rely on the Technology Director for educational computing. Expertise is in the area of curriculum and programming. The Allegheny Intermediate Unit provides technical support but seems to be overwhelmed by the demand. Vendors have been useful, but its not fiscally sound to rely on vendors for design and equipment purchase suggestions.
