Final Reminder/March 9 I-Net Celebration/RSVP Now

It is expected that three hundred leaders from all over the city and region
will be attending the historical Thursday, March 9 event. The event will
begin at 6 p.m. in the Carnegie Architectural Hall with hors d'oeuvres being
served.

Demonstrating the potential of the I-Net to transmit to 100's-1000's of
locations across the region, a Pittsburgh Public Schools jazz band will
perform at a remote location and their performance will digitally (sight and
sound) fill the hall.

On a large display screen within Architectural Hall the event organizers will
also demonstrate the potential of the I-Net for distant learning. A
demonstration of the CMU Infomedia project will impress all and will confirm
the need for the tremendous speed of the I-Net.

Brief presentations will be made by Max King (Heinz Endowments), Ellsworth
Brown (Carnegie Libraries & Museums), Maggie Schmidt (Pittsburgh Public
Schools), and Richard Flanagan (I-Net Working Group). Elbie Yaworsky (EIN)
will be master of ceremonies and will conduct the demonstrations.

Please RSVP now by accessing www.pgh-inet.org/rsvp.html or call 441-6956.
