Mr. James Mazur
Regional Vice President, AT&T

Pittsburgh, PA 15220
Dear Mr. Mazur,
The Pittsburgh I-Net Working Group after speaking with Mr. Richard Emenecker recognizes certain concerns AT&T has regarding the Working Groups request for a meeting.
1)AT&T has agreed with the City of Pittsburgh not to share any details of the ongoing cable negotiations.
A)The Pittsburgh I-Net Working Group agrees to seek a letter from the Deputy Mayor Tom Cox stating the City of Pittsburgh would release AT&T from any harm if they held the meeting.
B) We will not ask questions pertaining to the details of the ongoing negotiations. Details such as number of nodes, strains of fiber, and hardware configuration.
The Pittsburgh I-Net Working Group envisions a positive meeting which will give us the opportunity to discuss broad goals and visions for the creation of a high speed telecommunication network second to none in the United States. The Working Group wants to understand how AT&T sees itself as a corporate leader concerned with how the children of Pittsburgh, especially low income and minority children, are not left behind in the technology age.
2)AT&T requires no media be present.
A)The Working Group agrees no media will be present and we will take the leadership blocking any media involvement in the meeting.
3)AT&T is concerned with the number of participants.
Once Deputy Mayor Tom Cox sends you his letter indicating that the Citys ok with you having a meeting with the I-Net Working Group I will call your office. Hopefully, at that time we can move forward with arranging the meeting.
Thanks for your time and effort and we look forward to meeting with you.
Sincerely,
Richard R. Flanagan
