Local Activities
To enable the scalable and sustainable networking activities of CK:P, a suitable networking and server architecture had to be constructed. This was carried out with the assistance of the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, but a constant goal was maintained of establishing systems simple and reliable enough that long-term maintenance and support could be provide by school district personnel.

A project known as "Bridging the Urban Landscape" extended the work of CK:P to involve the Hill House Association and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. This work has led to further collaborations in the Hill District and other Pittsburgh neighborhoods, with support from the City of Pittsburgh.
