Installing Internet Clients for WFWG 3.11

To install the Internet Clients for Common Knowledge: Pittsburgh sites you will need the four CK:P supplied floppy disks.

Windows for Workgroups configuration

• Installs F-Prot
• Installs Netscape
• Installs WinQVT
• Installs WS_FTP
• Creates program groups called F-Prot and Internet Clients
• Overwrites previously installed versions of selected software

1. Start Windows for Workgroups
2. Insert Windows 3.1 Site Software Floppy Disk #1 in drive a:
3. Select the Main program group and double click on the File Manager
4. Choose File then choose Run, type in A:\setup.exe
5. Click on Continue at the Setup screen
6. Click on Continue at the Multiple Option Selection screen  (Default is installing all software)
7. Place floppy disk #2, #3, #4 in drive a: when needed.
8. Click on Yes at any screen labeled Overwrite Higher File Version
9. Click on OK at the Setup Success screen

Partial Installation of the CK:P Windows 3.1 Site Software

1. Start Windows for Workgroups
2. Insert Windows 3.1 Site Software Floppy Disk #1 in drive a:
3. Select the Main program group and double click on the File Manager
4. Choose File then choose Run, type in A:\setup.exe
5. Clickon Continue at the Setup screen
6. At the Mutliple Option Selection screen remove the dot from beside the software you DO NOT wish to install and click on Continue
7. Place floppy disk #2, #3, #4 in drive a: when needed.
8. Click on Yes at any screen labeled Overwrite Higher File Version
9. Click on OK at the Setup Success screen
