Central Site Equipment Description - DRAFT

At the Central Site Working Group meeting, I promised to distribute information on the baseline systems we are deploying as part of the project. Below I have provided brief descriptions along with relatively current prices for this equipment. We can provide more specifics on the exact configuration at the meeting.

Server

• Preferred platform is a Pentium PC. After comparing a couple of different PC "brands" we have settled on the DEC Celebris. Other brands we have looked at include: Gateway, Vecktron and Leading Edge.
