Many PPS staff have accounts on Cats1. Once a school becomes a CK:P site, they receive their own server. Teachers at CK:P sites should move their accounts off of Cats1 and onto their school servers. This frees up space on Cats1 for new accounts.
The school servers are configured identically to Cats1 and are just as powerful. In order for the project to build in a scalable fashion, all accounts will ultimately reside on school servers. This is why migration of accounts is so important. Once you move your account from Cats1 to the school site, the account on Cats1 will remain for a small time to make sure that there are no problems with the new account.
