"Typographical"

'TYPO'-graphical.-- A fellow in an exceedingly foul case, claiming to be a printer, and withal an editor, but now sadly out of sorts, entered a book store on Fourth Street, last evening, with a hope of begging some quoin (coin) to replenish his boxes, but not being very choice in the selection of his matter, he was invited to take his stand outside the door; this he refused, when the proprietor under the impression that he was imposed upon, made up to him and [Traditional typographic representation of a pointing finger + 'ed'
-- a rebus = 'pointed'] him out. The typo not liking this, raised his stick and knocked the window into pi. He was chased by the police, and his form securely locked up in the watch house, to be proved and corrected by the Mayor. Our devil hopes he will have a good bed and clean sheets to-night, and be able to justify his conduct in the morning.
