Reverse: Pittsburghers have a reason for taking pride in their
downtown section. This tract of 1 1/2 square miles probably has
seen more history made, more dramatic action, than any comparable
area in the country.
Over it have flown the flags of three great nations, the banners of
two states and the pennants of unknown numbers of Indian tribes.
