NOTES: "The children's librarian is indirectly to
instill lessons of courtesy, cleanliness, care of public property,
respect for the rights of others and many other valuable lessons.
A wash-bowl and soap are provided in each children's room and it
is not an infrequent thing to see a small boy washing his face and
hands, and on occasions his feet, in the wash-bowl."
