At the annual meeting, held at the Community House, on April 24, members heard Marilyn Holt, head of the Pennsylvania Room of Carnegie Library, talk about the life of Andrew Carnegie in Allegheny. Ms. Holt's assistant, Barry Chad, also read a fictitious account of Mr. Carnegie's life he had prepared from stories and headlines from Allegheny City newspapers. After the meeting Ms. Holt was presented with a replica of a 1856 "Bridge Pass" that will allow her to cross the bridges from Allegheny City to Pittsburgh for one year. [Presenting the "Pass" on behalf of the Society were Society Secretary, Dr. Craig Bennet, and Ruth McCartan, Treasurer.]
