Willingham
Taylor Willingham has her own consulting
firm, Austin-Pacific Training Company, which offers training and
consulting services for non-profits, including moderating services,
grant-writing, program development, and public relations. She
teaches a distance education course on Change Management for the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Graduate Library and
Information Sciences program. Taylor serves on the national faculty
for the Kettering Foundation and is a board member for the National
Issues Forums Institute. She is currently developing forums for
the Kettering Foundation to determine how Americans view Russia.
Over the past ten years, she has taught at several Public Policy
Institutes, including the University of California at Davis, the
University of Pennsylvania, the University of Oklahoma, the University
of Charleston, West Virginia and several other universities. She
has been on the faculty for the International Deliberative Democracy
Workshop, a week-long course on deliberative democracy offered to
journalists, representatives of non-governmental organizations,
foundation program officers and concerned citizens from such
countries as Croatia, Tajikistan, Russia, Colombia, and other
countries with emerging democracies. In May, Taylor traveled to
St. Petersburg, Russia where she was an invited speaker at a
conference on national projects of public libraries.
