This is why I like this type of forum. I enjoy novel approaches. You raise a very interesting point here. The trick is, however, to ensure that nobody but essential personnel has access to the financial information, including dates of deposits, etc. I guess the main problem I can see is that there is nothing preventing potential donors from approaching candidates to let them know what they intend to give. The candidates bottom-line would be increased accordingly, which is easy to detect. I believe, however, that this option should be thoroughly explored and discussed to see if hurdles can be overcome.
