Many of you have expressed concern that those with money have an opportunity to exert influence over candidates. Some have even stated that this is the intent of those who contribute to campaigns.

Have you ever supported a candidate you believed in with a financial contribution? Would you not want the right to give as much as you could to the candidate you feel is the most qualified?

If there were an underdog candidate who you believed to be the best person for the job and if you were a person of some means, would you voluntarily withhold your financial support or voluntarily set your contribution at an amount well below what you could afford? Or would you do all that you could to get your candidate elected for the good of your community?

Would you be satisfied donating to a pool that is split with candidates whose views you do not support?
