Public funding would allow *equal* access to *equal* ammounts of time and space for all candiates to fund their campaigns; ads, fliers, signs, etc. No specific candidates would be funded over others, and the playing field would naturally become much more level.
Personally, I'd a whole lot rather designate $3 per tax year to go to a public campaign fund than have it the way it is now.
