Dorothy:

The recent history of American Politics has been RIDDLED with examples of excesses, such as those of which you speak. The news media has done an excellent job of keeping us abreast of the latest Clinton scandals both in and out of office. Those of us who were not "asleep at the switch," as you call it, during the Reagan and Bush years can remember excesses too numerous to mention here, that brought this great nation to it's knees, and it took the much-maligned Clinton to set this nation back on the right track. My point being, that the issue of Campaign Finance Reform need NOT be a partisan issue, there is plenty of blame to go around on BOTH sides, the question is "What do we do about it?" Can it be fixed?
My other question to you is: Why NOT McCain and Feingold?
