Quick Comments Results: Sept. 29

How was your attitude toward the EPA changed by participating in the Dialogue?:

  • Impressive openness on some issues.
  • I had a great deal of respect for the people at EPA and I still do.
  • EPA is trying to be open to new ideas and respond to US citizens' needs for environmental information.
  • So far they get a A for effort,I will withhold my grading until I see what they do with it.However, I am more hopeful then I was say 2 months ago..so I take that as a changed forthe good.
  • I have had about as much respect for EPA as I have for any government agency for many years and this Dialog confirmed, but did not significantly change that.
  • Learned a few additional things that EPS has in it's role that I wasn't aware of.
  • I believe the EPA is trying, within the constraints of the day, to provide meaningful information. I do not see a conspiracy behind every report. So my attitude has not changed. I am excited that EPA has recognized (as have many citizens) that Libraries are the first place to go for information. An EPA / Library Partnership is a natural.
