RE: Question 1: Pre-school support

We agree with all Whitcomb Hayslip's comments on the need for inclusion of children with disabilities. Based on our experience, we also want to emphasize the importance of early screening and intervention - this can really impact the effects a disability might have on a child.  We agree that the gap in services at age 3 is an important issue that must be addressed. We also strongly support coordination of services - one stop shopping for parents with children with disabilities (communication and integration between health, mental health and community services including parent support).
